Earth Attacks: The Reboot
A downloadable game
Welcome to Earth Attacks: The Reboot!
Plot: Our game is about a planet called Plumeria, which is comprised of 5 islands. These islands have different elemental powers named after the inhabitants: Lumis, Arbend, Mosoi, Traigo, and Pasol. Together these martians protect this planet from all invaders.
Goal: The purpose of this game is to assist the Martians in protecting from human invaders. Teams will be divided in a 4-6 player game to protect or conquer Plumeria. There are 5 Martian cards and 5 human cards to choose from. Using these cards players need to attack and defend their islands strategically. This is a game of who can conquer or protect their island the fastest without losing resources and the island!
Additional Details: This reboot is more of a board game than a card game with fewer characters to make the game less complex. There is also a health bar added to the islands to strengthen the game’s ecological message. The islands’ HP is higher than the playable characters to make the mechanics balanced. Lastly, the setting has been changed from Mars to Plumeria!

☆How to Set Up the Game☆
Items needed for this game: 2 dice and download the cards + map
➠ First, players will assign numbers 1 to 6 to each of their islands, Martians, and humans. For example: Lumis = 1, Arbend = 3, Mosoi = 5, Pasol = 4, Traigo = 2, and 6 is the player’s choice
After assigning numbers, there should be one human and one Martian on each island!
➠ Then, to assign the permanent bridge that does not damage the islands, roll the dice to determine its location. Up to the player’s discretion, dice #1 will decide where the bridge begins and dice #2 will establish where the bridge ends.
- It’s important to note that to make a bridge, the islands must be neighbors! Roll again if your islands are on opposite ends of the map.

☆Game Play☆
How to take Turns: Martian - Human - Martian - Human - etc…
How to Begin the Game: The human-martian match-up per island is decided by the dice rolls so it’s possible to have a combination of players that can or cannot attack each other.
- This is where bridges, only created by the Human Builder card, will play a role in allowing Martians and Humans to travel to an island where they can help a teammate.
Humans conquer islands through the Human Builder card
- Builder’s special ability creates a fortress that will serve as a “conquered” landmark.
If a Martian are not located in their designated homeland, their HP decreases by 20.
- Ex. If the Arbend Martian is on Traigo, their HP would decrease by 20 at the start of the game.
☆Island health decreases whenever either player attacks on it. If that island gets destroyed, the players on it will roll to see which island they are displaced to.☆

☆Island Abilities☆
Health bar: 500 HP
Rules for all islands
- The HP depletes when humans or Martians attack their opponent
- Martians have a buff, they can restore partial HP for their island using abilities (this can only be done once per island but not consecutively).
- Humans are unable to restore an island’s HP but they can slow down the depletion by moving the HP loss to an island of their choosing.
Island Abilities
- Depending on island HP at every 100 HP interval, the abilities of Martians and humans become stronger.
- Martian/human abilities are doubled in their damage, causing the island to deplete quickly.
- For example: If the island's HP depletes to 400 HP, the abilities of the Martian or human attack damage will double from 15 DMG to 30 DMG
- This interval of 15 to 30 to 60 will continue to the highest doubling of 120 DMG
- EX: 15 DMG to 30 DMG to 60 DMG to 120 DMG
- This interval of 15 to 30 to 60 will continue to the highest doubling of 120 DMG
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
☆Martian and Human Abilities☆
By downloading the cards and map, players will have access to see the abilities on each of their cards. Most of the cards have features where they can only use their character abilities once or thrice in a game while others have no limits. If you don't use your character's special abilities, your DMG will be 15 on your selected opponent.
- Note: There are elements that players can decide for themselves!
- For example: Lumis Martian's character ability is Dust Storm Attack, to the player's discretion, you have a choice in how much HP this attack lowers.
Examples using Lumis Martian and Theif Human cards

☆Winning/Losing Conditions☆
For Martians to win:
- they must drive out the Humans while maintaining the health of their islands.
For Humans to win:
- they need to conquer 4 out of 5 islands and remove Martian inhabitants while minimizing damage to the island’s health.
For Martians and Humans to lose:
- If all islands die in the process of gameplay, no one wins.
- If only one martian is left standing, the Humans automatically win, and vice versa!
